UV Gullas College Of Medicine is a constituent college of the University Of Visayas which was established in 1919 with three main
roles of Scientific, Educational and Technological.we have created many skilled
, professional doctors and scientists
and have led cutting aspect research in areas as diverse as most
cancers,osteoporosis,asthma, and nutrition.
Our aim is to prepare new doctors equiped for the modern
health service,with patient care their first priority and make them to meet the
challenges of medical field in the 21st century.
We are an academic medical devoted to presenting advanced
schooling and education so that can produce highly certified,being concerned
physicians to serve the people of the phillipines and world.
The academic
principles of the UV Gullas college of medicine are that:
1) That learning should be "problem based" to
foster an attitude of enquiry
2) That research should be directed to the medical
challenges and diseases specific to phillipines.
3)That as far as possible the undergraduate curriculam
should be be integrated both horizontally in the basic medical science
disciplines as well as vertically in the clinical disciplines.
